Amos and the Light of Liora

Hi friends, it’s Jacob, founder of The Daily Scythe! Man, it has been a long time since I’ve sat down to write something for you guys. I want to give you guys an update on what I’ve been doing for the last year and ultimately why I passed the blog on to Norman, who has been doing a great job getting quality content out there.

I’ll keep it to the point. I stopped writing here because I wanted to focus on writing and illustrating my children’s book! Here is a sample from my book “Amos and the Light of Liora.”

“In the land of Liora, there lived a man named Amos. He was perfectly average, not royal or famous. He wore no special clothes and had no special talents. The only thing you might notice is that his frown was off balance.

This land had a King, with a proclamation he’d say, “Count all of your blessings and thank the Light for each day.” For each morning at sunrise, a golden light would appear, making the fruits and vegetables ripe every day of the year.”

And here is my title page.

Look, I’m not going to give you my sob story about how this book is my heart and soul. Or that it has been 5 years in the making and that I had to learn to draw to make it happen. All of those things are true, but I know you don’t want to read that.

What I do want to tell you is that my book (It’s an Ebook) is available for pre-order right now on the kindle app for USD 4.99 and that I need your help climbing the amazon algorithm ladder. Unfortunately, writing a good book (which I believe I have) isn’t enough these days. You need a marketing plan, keyword perfection, and a whole lot of luck to break through the amazon algorithm.

So I’m here asking for your support and help. Buy it for your kids, gift it to your friends with kids, or buy it just to support me out of the kindness of your heart. Or just because I’m bold enough to ask! If even 500 of the thousands of visitors last month decided they could help me out with less than some people spend at Starbucks, my book might have a fighting chance.

Like I said, “Amos and the Light of Liora” is available for pre-order right now on the kindle app. If you have a smart device, you have access to it. Or you can click here, and it will be delivered to your device on March 15th.

At the very least, can you share this with a friend?

Thanks in advance, expecting great things from my Scythe fam!

Best regards,

Jacob
